Then I quietly stated that birds can die from environmental toxins that are encountered in one place at one tiime. That observation had no effect. His wife was quietly disapproving also. As I watched this, I offered a last observation with plans to then drop the subject. I said, well this is such sacred doctrine, never to be questioned, never to be challenged on the basis of lack of proof. Anyone is does question such sacred doctrine and asks for proof is obviously bad and wrong. I could see him soften a little then. We dropped the subject (and conversation).
If people will just speak the truth, let those who fear it be frightened or resentful. That's their problem. I think the effort is one on one, basically.

I read a book years ago (that was published roughly a century back) about Bastian versus Pasteur. In that book the author - I can’t remember her name - charts showing cancer rates of that time and they were in the order of one in eight and nine hundred. And I don’t remember reading a word in that book about “turbo cancer.”

I wonder if these tossers ever account (they really like accounting) for something called Stuff Happens. Like the sixth century event (bolide or volcanic) that blocked out the sun for a year or two and was followed by the Plague of Justinian. Or like the end of the present interglacial...because they all end after a few thousand years, and this lucky one has been running for about eleven thousand. Hey, even a pop like the Mt Tambora eruption in 1815 cancelled a hell of a lot of smart plans, and a mere few degrees of cooling in the 14th century put everyone through hell. Elites were not spared. Stuff Happens is for all.

The irony is that humans are addicted to the very tools that will enslave them. Addicted to the technology devices. Addicted to the socialist media platforms. Screen addicted and the digital dystopia we are all concerned about is only possible via the technology devices being permanently on/with our persons.
Historically how do most people break free from the shackles of addiction? Yes, it is a personal thing and about the self......awareness, mind, body, spirit and ultimately through the grace of God to offer the individual a pathway. Right now, today ~ the importance of each and every one of us to be strong and with faith is paramount to our survival and that of our family and friends. Be the light in the darkness.

I'm not sure materialism is addictive ....but yes, it is the mode that many people find themselves in and it is tied to money, debt and emptiness.

There may be no "practical" solution in my opinion, because bad people control the apparatus of government nearly everywhere. My impression is that usually the peasants wielding torches and pitchforks get crushed.
That does not mean one should give up. What is right and true is as important as life itself.
The most basic reason people are trying to sleep through this continuing crises is because they've been indoctrinated in nihilism and the renunciation of reason, in many ways subtle and only rarely overt. People trained that reason is untrustworthy never think about much of anything (regardless of credentials and "education") and of course resent people who present facts that threaten their existence as contented cows.
Recently, I mentioned in a conversational quiet tone that bird flu virus does not exist. I said this after the fellow at the next table observed that bird flu had killed a lot of pheasants locally. They were all over and suddenly gone. When I quietly observed there is no bird flu virus, that it has never been proven, he stifferend with resentment. Then I quietly stated that birds can die from environmental toxins that are encountered in one place at one tiime. That observation had no effect. His wife was quietly disapproving also. As I watched this, I offered a last observation with plans to then drop the subject. I said, well this is such sacred doctrine, never to be questioned, never to be challenged on the basis of lack of proof. Anyone is does question such sacred doctrine and asks for proof is obviously bad and wrong. I could see him soften a little then. We dropped the subject (and conversation).
If people will just speak the truth, let those who fear it be frightened or resentful. That's their problem. I think the effort is one on one, basically.
Amen. Unfortunately, we are living in a time where everyone wants to be "liked" so they don't dare mention what they really believe about things. It is uncanny! *I don't want to be around people who are pretending to go along with things just to be liked!* I've never wanted to be around people who are fake. I don't care for one second if someone doesn't like me based on my beliefs or my understanding of truth. If they don't like what I have to say then... oh well. Good on you for gently trying to nudge people back to reality... we all need to be doing that regardless of whether we lose so-called "friends" or even family over it.
